For each Teacher Section Association, there must be a Course Section with a matching CAMPUS-ID, CLASS-ID-NUMBER, and COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE.

For each teacher section association, there must be a course section with the same StateOrganizationId (SchoolReference), UniqueSectionCode, and TX-CourseSequence.

TX-UNIQUE-STAFF-ID for a Teacher Section Association must match TX-UNIQUE-STAFF-ID for a staff person.

For a teacher section association reported, there must be corresponding staff data reported.

CAMPUS-ID must match an entry registered with the TEA as an active instructional campus in the reporting LEA ending in "001"-"698".

For a Teacher Section Association, StateOrganizationId must be an active instructional campus registered with the TEA in the reporting LEA and must end in "001"-"698".

SERVICE-ID must not begin with "SA", "SE", "SR", "SS", or "8".

A teacher section association must not be reported with a CourseCode that indicates: educational aides (starts with "SA"), special education and related services (starts with "SE"), teachers with additional responsibilities (starts with "SR"), faculty with non-teaching responsibilities (starts with "SS"), or local-credit courses (start with "8"). (Teacher section association references section, which references course offering, which contains the CourseCode).

ROLE-ID must be "047" or "087".

Only staff persons who are teachers or substitute teachers are reported with teacher class assignment data.

ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE must be a valid date.

For a teacher section association, the BeginDate must be a valid calendar date.

ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE must be between June 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024.

For a teacher section association, the BeginDate must be within the current school year within the range of the months from June through August.

ASSIGNMENT-END-DATE must be a valid date.

For a teacher section association, the EndDate must be a valid calendar date.

The combination of the following fields must be unique for each Teacher Section Association: TX-UNIQUE-STAFF-ID, CAMPUS-ID, CLASS-ID-NUMBER, COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE, and ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE.

The combination of the following fields must be unique for each Teacher Section Association: StaffUniqueStateId, StateOrganizationId, UniqueSectionCode, TX-CourseSequence, and BeginDate.

ASSIGNMENT-END-DATE must be between June 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024.

For a teacher section association, the EndDate must be within the current school year within the range of the months from June through August.

ASSIGNMENT-END-DATE must be greater than ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE.

The date that a teacher was assigned to, or reassigned to, a course must occur before the last date a teacher was assigned to a course.

If SERVICE-ID is a high school course, then COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE must not be "A".

For a teacher section association, the TX-CourseSequence "A" is only reported for non-high school courses. (Teacher Section Association references Section, which references Course Offering containing the CourseCode).

For a given Course Section, if the Course is for the Pre-Kindergarten SERVICE-ID (01010000) or a Kindergarten SERVICE-ID, then there should be at least one teacher section association with CLASSROOM-POSITION of "Teacher of Record".

Each course section for Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten should have at least one Teacher of Record.

For a Teacher Section Association being reported for the Class Roster collection, the following must not be blank: CLASSROOM-POSITION, ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE, and ROLE-ID.

For a Teacher Section Association reported for the Class Roster collection, the following must be reported: ClassroomPosition, Begin Date, and TX-StaffRole.

For a Teacher Section Association being reported for the ECDS collection, the following must not be blank: ASSIGNMENT-BEGIN-DATE and ASSIGNMENT-END-DATE.

For a Teacher Section Association reported for the ECDS collection, the following must be reported: Begin Date and End Date.

For each Teacher Section Association, there should be at least one Student Section Association with a matching CAMPUS-ID, CLASS-ID-NUMBER, and COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE.

For each teacher section association, there should be a student section association with the same StateOrganizationId (SchoolReference), UniqueSectionCode, and TX-CourseSequence.

If ROLE-ID is "047", then TEACHER-INCENTIVE-ALLOTMENT-DESIGNATION-CODE and CREDITABLE-YEAR-OF-SERVICE-INDICATOR-CODE must not be reported.

Any staff member reported as a substitute teacher must not be reported with TX-TeacherIncentiveAllotmentDesignationCode or TX-CreditableYearOfServiceIndicator on StaffExtension.

For the Class Roster collection, if both Teacher School Association and Teacher Section Association data are reported with matching TX-UNIQUE-STAFF-ID but different CAMPUS-ID values, then a special warning message will be displayed asking for verification of this teacher’s assignments.

Teachers reported for the Class Roster collection with both Teacher School Association and Teacher Section Association data at different campuses should have their assignment data verified.
