CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT must match an entry registered with the TEA as an active instructional campus in the reporting LEA ending in "001"-"698".

For attendance, the student's TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment must be registered with the TEA as an active instructional campus in the reporting LEA and must end in "001"-"698".

The first six characters of CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT must not be a Local Education Agency registered with the TEA as an ESC.

For attendance, a student's TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment must not be an ESC.

The last character of TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT must be either "0" or "5".

A student's TX-TotalDaysAbsent must be reported as either full or half days.

The last character of TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be either "0" or "5".

A student's TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent must be reported as either full or half days.

The last character of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be either "0" or "5".

For Attendance, the following must be provided: StudentUniqueStateId, TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-AttendanceEventIndicator, TX-InstructionalTrack, TX-ReportingPeriod, TX-NumberDaysTaught, TX-GradeLevel, TX-TotalDaysAbsent, TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent, TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, and TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent.

For Attendance the following must be provided: TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, ATTENDANCE-EVENT-INDICATOR, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT, GRADE-LEVEL-CODE, TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT.

For Attendance, the following must be provided: StudentUniqueStateId, TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-AttendanceEventIndicator, TX-InstructionalTrack, TX-ReportingPeriod, TX-NumberDaysTaught, TX-GradeLevel, TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, and TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent.

REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE must be "1"-"6".

For a student reported with attendance in submission 3, the TX-ReportingPeriod must be "1"-"6".

For each Attendance data item, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must not be greater than NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT less TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT less TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT.

A student cannot be reported with more attendance than there are days taught in a reporting period.

For each Attendance data item, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT must be greater than 0.

For students reported with attendance, at least one of TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent and TX-TotalDaysAbsent must be greater than 0.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT must be identical on all Attendance.

TX-NumberDaysTaught must be the same on all attendance with the same TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is NOT "PK", then PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE, PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE, and SECONDARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE must be blank.

TX-PKProgramTypeIndicator, TX-PrimaryPKFundingSource, and TX-SecondaryPKFundingSource must be blank/not reported if a student is not reported in TX-GradeLevel "PK".

Except for the Excel Center (for Adults) (227827), for a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, if September 1 age is 26 or greater, then all instances of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be 0.0.

A student's eligibility for attendance funding ends when they are age 26 on September 1 (Except for Excel Center for Adults 227827).

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK" and TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT is greater than 0, then PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE should not be blank.

A pre-kindergarten student who is reported with TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent should also be reported with a TX-PrimaryPKFundingSource.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK", then PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE must not be blank or "00".

A PK student must be reported with a TX-PKProgramTypeIndicator other than "00".

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK" and PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE is "01" or "03", then PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE should be blank.

The TX-PrimaryPKFundingSource should be blank for an eligible pre-kindergarten student who participates in a half day PK program or in a half day PK program and also receives special education services.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK" and PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE is "02", "04", or "05", then PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE must not be blank.

Except for JJAEP campuses and Texas Tech University K-12, a campus may not have TX-NumberDaysTaught greater than 45 for any TX-ReportingPeriod "1"-"5".

If CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is not a campus registered with the TEA as a JJAEP, then for a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, if REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE is "6", then NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT must not be greater than 90.

Except for JJAEP campuses, a campus may not have TX-NumberDaysTaught greater than 90 for the sixth TX-ReportingPeriod.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, if there are any students whose sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT for all reporting periods is greater than 180.0, then a message showing the total number of students in this category will be issued asking for verification.

Students should generally not be reported with more than 180 days of enrollment.

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, the sum of all instances of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be greater than or equal to 0.5.

Each student must be reported with at least a half day of attendance between TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent, and TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent.

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, and INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT must not be greater than NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT.

For a student, and particular TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod, there cannot be more attendance reported than there are TX-NumberDaysTaught in the reporting period.

If CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is a campus registered with TEA as a JJAEP or a DAEP, then there should be a Disciplinary Action with a matching TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID.

If a student's attendance is reported with a TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment that is a JJAEP or a DAEP, then the student should also have a disciplinary action reported.

For each Attendance data item, GRADE-LEVEL-CODE should be found in the grade range registered with TEA for the campus reported in CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, unless there is matching Special Education Attendance (Special Programs Attendance with ATTENDANCE-EVENT-INDICATOR of "Regular - SpecialEd").

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, if September 1 age is less than 5 and GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is always greater than or equal to "KG", then the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT should be 0.0.

Students who are less than 5 years of age on September 1 and are reported in grade "KG" or higher are generally not eligible for attendance.

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT for all reporting periods should not be greater than 180.0.

The sum of all TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, and TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent for a particular student, for all reporting periods, generally should not be greater than 180 days.

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT should not be greater than 200.0.

The sum of all TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent, and TX-TotalDaysAbsent for a particular student, across all reporting periods, should not be more than 200 days.

For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT should not be greater than 40.0.

For a student in a particular TX-ReportingPeriod, the sum of TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent and TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent and TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent and TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent and TX-TotalDaysAbsent should not be more than 40 days.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, and GRADE-LEVEL-CODE, the sum of TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT should not be 0.

Generally at least one student will be reported with an absence(s) in a particular TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, TX-ReportingPeriod and TX-GradeLevel.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT should not be less than 24.

Each particular TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod should have at least 24 days of instruction.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT that has students in all six reporting periods, the sum of TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT should be greater than 0. A special warning message showing the total number of students with no absences will be issued asking for verification.

For each TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, where students are reported in all six reporting periods, there should generally not be perfect attendance reported for that campus.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT should not be greater than 40.

Each particular TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod should have less than 41 days of instruction.

If DISTRICT-ID matches the Texas School for the Deaf (227906) or the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (227905), then for each attendance data item, the sum of TOTAL-INELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT and TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT must be greater than 0.

Students enrolled in TSD or TSBVI must be reported with TX-TotalIneligibleDaysPresent plus TX-TotalDaysAbsent greater than zero (0) for each attendance data item.

If DISTRICT-ID matches the Texas School for the Deaf (227906) or the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (227905), then TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must all be 0.0 or blank.

Students enrolled in the TSD and TSBVI must not be reported with TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, or TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent greater than zero (0).

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE reported on Attendance data, there must be a Reporting Period (Calendar sub-category) with a matching CAMPUS-ID, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, and NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT.

TX-NumberDaysTaught on attendance must match that reported with the Reporting Period for this campus, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE, the NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT must be identical on all Attendance and Flexible Attendance.

TX-NumberDaysTaught must be identical on all Attendance and Flexible Attendance with the same values for SchoolReference, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod.

For the Excel Center (for Adults) (227827), for a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, if September 1 age is 51 or greater, then all instances of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT, and RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be 0.0.

For the Excel Center (for Adults) (227827), a student's eligibility for attendance funding ends when they are age 51 on September 1.

If September 1 age is less than 5, GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK", and TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT or RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT is greater than 0, and either EMERGENT-BILINGUAL-INDICATOR-CODE is "1", or ECONOMIC-DISADVANTAGE-CODE is a value other than "00", or MILITARY-CONNECTED-STUDENT-CODE is "4", or FOSTER-CARE-INDICATOR-CODE is a value other than "0", or HOMELESS-STATUS-CODE is a value other than "0", or STAR-OF-TEXAS-INDICATOR-CODE is "1", then PK-ELIGIBLE-PREVIOUS-YEAR-INDICATOR-CODE must be "0" or blank/not reported.

TX-PKEligiblePreviousYear may only be used if the PK student less than 5 years of age on September 1 is not eligible for funding through any other eligibility criteria.

If TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT or RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT is greater than 0, PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE is "02", and the student's age on September 1 of the current school year is 4, then PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE must be "2", "4", or "5", unless DISTRICT-ID is "015805", "015904", "015905", "015907", "015910", "015911", "015912", "015915", or "015917".

A four-year-old student reported with TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent or TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent and participating in a prekindergarten program that provides instruction at least four hours each day must be reported with a TX-PrimaryPKFunding Source of Local district share funding (2), Federal Funding (4), or the Early Education Allotment (5). The exception is for districts that have a Memorandum of Understanding with PK4SA.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, if the only values for PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE are "01" or "04", then this campus should be reported with PK-FULL-DAY-WAIVER-INDICATOR-CODE of "1".

If a campus only reports PK students in a half-day program, then the campus should have received a waiver from offering a full day program.

For a particular CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE reported on Attendance data, if any students are reported with GRADE-LEVEL-CODE "PK", then there must be a Reporting Period (Calendar sub-category) with a matching CAMPUS-ID, INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK-INDICATOR-CODE, and REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE with INSTRUCTIONAL-PROGRAM-TYPE "03", "04", "14", or "15".

PK students must be reported on a separate attendance track. If PK students are reported for a particular TX-CampusIdOfEnrollment, TX-InstructionalTrack, and TX-ReportingPeriod, then a Calendar/Reporting Period must be set up with a Prekindergarten TX-InstructionalProgramType (03, 04, 14, or 15).

REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE must be "9".

For a student reported with attendance in the PEIMS Extended Year submission (4), the TX-ReportingPeriod must be "9".

If REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE is "9", then this student must be reported with ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-PARTICIPATION-INDICATOR-CODE "1".

If a student is reported with TX-ReportingPeriod "9", then they must be reported with TX-AdditionalDaysProgramParticipationIndicatorCode of "1" indicating they participate in an Additional Days School Year Program.

ATTENDANCE-EVENT-INDICATOR must be "01".

For a student reported with attendance in the PEIMS Extended Year submission (4), the TX-AttendanceEventIndicator must be "Regular" (01).

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "06"-"12", and CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is a campus registered with TEA as an approved Texas Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (T-STEM) Academy campus, then this student's T-STEM-INDICATOR-CODE should not be blank.

A student reported with TX-GradeLevel "06"-"12" attendance at a T-STEM campus should also be reported with a TX-TSTEMIndicator. A list of approved T-STEM Academies is available as a link with the latest release of the Texas Education Data Standards.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "09"-"12", and CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is a campus registered with TEA as an approved Early College High School (ECHS) campus, then this student's ECHS-INDICATOR-CODE should not be blank.

A student reported with TX-GradeLevel "09"-"12" attendance at an ECHS campus should also be reported with a TX-ECHSIndicator. A list of approved Early College High Schools is available as a link with the latest release of the Texas Education Data Standards.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "09"-"12", and CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is a campus registered with TEA as an approved campus to run a Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) program, then this student's P-TECH-INDICATOR-CODE should not be blank.

A student reported with TX-GradeLevel "09"-"12" attendance at a campus approved to have a P-TECH program should also be reported with a TX-PTECHIndicator. A list of approved P-TECH programs is available as a link with the latest release of the Texas Education Data Standards.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "07"-"12", and CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT is a campus that has entered into an agreement with the New Tech Network to operate as a New Tech Network campus, then this student's NEW-TECH-INDICATOR-CODE should not be blank.

A student reported with TX-GradeLevel "07"-"12" attendance at a New Tech Network campus should also be reported with a TX-NewTechIndicator. A list of approved New Tech Network campuses is available as a link with the latest release of the Texas Education Data Standards.

For each Attendance data item, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must not be greater than NUMBER-DAYS-TAUGHT.

A student cannot be reported with more attendance than there are days taught in a reporting period.

For each Attendance data item, the sum of TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT plus RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be greater than 0.

For students reported with attendance, at least one of TX-TotalEligibleDaysPresent, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent, and TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent must be greater than 0.

If GRADE-LEVEL-CODE is "PK", then RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be 0.0.

A student that is reported with attendance in TX-GradeLevel "PK" is not eligible for Remote Asynchronous attendance.

If REPORTING-PERIOD-INDICATOR-CODE is "9", then GRADE-LEVEL-CODE must be "PK"-"05".

If a student is reported with TX-ReportingPeriod "9" (Additional Days School Year Program), then they must be in TX-GradeLevel PK - 05.

If TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT or RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT is greater than 0, PK-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE is "02", and the student's age on September 1 of the current school year is 3, then PRIMARY-PK-FUNDING-SOURCE must be "1", "2", "4", or "5", unless DISTRICT-ID is "015805", "015904", "015905", "015907", "015910", "015911", "015912", "015915", or "015917".

RA-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT must be 0.0.

Senate Bill 15 (87th legislative session), which allowed certain LEAs to offer virtual education outside of the Texas Virtual School Network (TXVSN), expired September 1, 2023. Therefore, for 2023-2024, TX-RATotalEligibleDaysPresent must only be reported as 0.0.

RS-TOTAL-ELIGIBLE-DAYS-PRESENT should be 0.0.

For 2023-2024, TX-RSTotalEligibleDaysPresent should only be reported as 0.0 for most students. Regular education student remote synchronous attendance should only be reported when instruction is provided through remote conferencing, with the approval of a waiver request.
