BILINGUAL-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE indicates whether the student is participating in a state-approved bilingual education program which is a full-time program of dual-language instruction through the TEKS in the content areas (mathematics, science, health and social studies) in English and the primary language of limited English proficient (LEP)/English learner (EL) students and also for carefully structured and sequenced mastery of English cognitive academic language development.
