id is an XML generated XML ID associated with this complex type.
CAMPUS-ID (E0266) indicates the unique campus identification number registered with the Texas Education Agency(TEA). It is the linking of DISTRICT-ID with the campus identification number.
An instructional campus:
1)
has an assigned administrator,
2) has enrolled students who are counted for average daily attendance,
3) has assigned instructional staff,
4) receives federal and/or state and/or local funds as its primary support,
5) provides instruction in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS),
6) has one or more grade groups in the range from early education through grade
12, and
7) is not a program for students enrolled in another public school.
An alternative instructional unit:
1)
is an instructional site, center, program, or arrangement that is not governed
by an individual campus organization, and
2) does not meet the above standard definition of an instructional campus.
The campuses reported on the SchoolExtension Complex Type must match a campus registered with the TEA for the current year.
A campus must not be reported with a number greater than 698.
The first 6 characters of CAMPUS-ID must match the value of the DISTRICT-ID in the LEA’s LocalEducationAgencyExtension Complex Type.
**LocalEducationAgencyReference Complex Type
The LocalEducationAgencyReference Complex type represents the LEA of which the School is an organizational component.
ref is an XML generated XML IDREF that references the object associated with this object.
**EducationalOrgIdentity Complex Type
The EducationalOrgIdentity complex type includes information to link to a specific educational organization from the LocalEducationAgencyExtension complex type.
DISTRICT-ID (E0212) indicates the district identification number registered with the Texas Education Agency.
**ClassPeriodReference Complex Type
ClassPeriodReference is a reference to the corresponding ClassPeriod complex type which are the class periods defined for a campus.
** Reference Complex Type
The Reference Complex Type is the base type for association references.
ref is an XML generated XML IDREF that references the object associated with this object.
CAMPUS-ENROLLMENT-TYPE-CODE (E1641) specifies the method by which the campus draws student enrollment. This data element is reported in the PEIMS Fall Submission and remains constant throughout the school year.
For additional guidance on determining CAMPUS-ENROLLMENT-TYPE-CODE, refer to the Campus Enrollment Type Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) at https://tea.texas.gov/perfreport/campus_enrollment_faq.aspx.
NSLP-TYPE-CODE (E1591) indicates a campus's National School Lunch Program (NSLP) participation status. The NSLP provides reimbursement to schools for free or reduced-price meals based on student eligibility. Options for claiming reimbursement under the NSLP include: eligibility determined at the individual student/family level (participation in NSLP without using any Provision or the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)) or at the campus/community level (Provision 2 or Community Eligibility Provision).
The NSLP-TYPE-CODE is reported in PEIMS Submission 1 only.
Following are the data sources to be used to document each code:
For code 01 - The Standard Accounting and Claiming option requires that participating schools distribute and retrieve the official NSLP application forms for each family enrolling students in the school.
For code 02 - The Provision 2 option requires that schools distribute and retrieve the official NSLP application forms for each family enrolling students in the school in the first year of operation only.
For code 03 - The CEP option describes a lunch program where schools do not distribute and retrieve the official NSLP application form for each family enrolling students in this school. Instead, schools participating in the CEP program, use the direct certification list as provided by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
PK-FULL-DAY-WAIVER-INDICATOR-CODE (E1646) indicates whether the campus has received an exemption from offering a full-day prekindergarten program.
ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-INDICATOR-CODE (E1671) indicates whether the campus implemented an Additional Days School Year (ADSY) program for any students in prekindergarten through fifth grades as described in TEC Sec. 48.0051. The ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-INDICATOR-CODE is reported only for PEIMS submissions 3 and 4.
The instruction for an ADSY program can be provided on a campus that is different from the campus in which a student is enrolled. The campus in which the student is enrolled during the current school year is required to meet the ADSY calendar requirements of 180 days and 75,600 minutes.
For example, a Local Education Agency (LEA) has a centralized ADSY program for the summer. The campus in which the student was last enrolled must meet the calendar requirements and report the ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-INDICATOR-CODE (E1671).
For PEIMS Summer submission (Sub 3):
The ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-INDICATOR-CODE is reported to indicate any campus that has students participating in the Additional Days School Year Program.
Between the first PEIMS Summer submission and resubmission, TEA will verify the reported calendar data to ensure the campus meets the minimum ADSY calendar requirements.
For PEIMS Extended Year submission (Sub 4):
Report all relevant ADSY program data.
EXPANDED-LEARNING-OPPORTUNITY-INDICATOR-CODE (E1613) is used to identify if a campus offers any expanded learning opportunity (ELO) as listed in TEC 33.252.
The EXPANDED-LEARNING-OPPORTUNITY-INDICATOR-CODE is reported only for PEIMS Submissions 3 and 4.
If the school offers an expanded learning opportunity program, then the following elements must be reported for each ELO activity offered:
** TX-SchoolELOS Complex Type **
The TX-SchoolELOS Complex Type captures data for school participation in expanded learning opportunities.
The TX-SchoolELOS Complex Type is reported only for PEIMS Submissions 3 and 4.
** TX-SchoolELO Complex Type **
TX-SchoolELO Complex Type represents a single expanded learning opportunity a school offers.
For each expanded learning opportunity type offered by a school, the entire complex type TX-SchoolELO will be reported. In the XML reporting, this is known as “unbounded” and allows an XML item or set of items to be repeated as many times as needed. Therefore there can be more than one TX-SchoolELO within TX-SchoolELOS.
For example, if a school offers both a Non-Voluntary Extended School Year and a Voluntary Expanded Learning – Before School, report 2 sets of data in their own TX-SchoolELO complex type instance.
...
<TX-SchoolELOType>
<TX-ELOType>02</TX-ELOType>
...
<TX-SchoolELOType>
<TX-ELOType>05</TX-ELOType>
...
ELO-TYPE-CODE (E1614) indicates the type of expanded learning opportunity (ELO) program offered at the campus.
In the TX-SchoolELOS Complex Type the ELO-TYPE-CODE data element only refers to the campus offerings of an expanded learning opportunity program.
** TX-SchoolELOActivity Complex Type **
For each expanded learning opportunity offered by a school, more than one ELO activity can be reported. In the XML reporting, this is known as “unbounded” and allows an XML item or set of items to be repeated as many times as needed. Therefore there can be more than one TX-SchoolELOActivity within TX-SchoolELO complex type.
For example, if a school offers both Physical Activity and Tutoring after school, report two sets of data in their own TX-SchoolELOActivity complex type instance.
...
<TX-SchoolELOType>
<TX-ELOType>06</TX-ELOType>
<TX-SchoolELOActivity>
<TX-ELOActivityCode>03</TX-ELOActivityCode>
...
</TX-SchoolELOActivity>
<TX-SchoolELOActivity>
<TX-ELOActivityCode>04</TX-ELOActivityCode>
...
</TX-SchoolELOActivity>
ELO-ACTIVITY-CODE (E1719) indicates the specific Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) activity offered at the campus.
There are six ELO Activity codes that can be reported:
Rigorous coursework is defined as a TEKS-aligned and credit-earning course, including dual credit and credit recovery activities.
Mentoring is defined as scheduled interaction between a trained adult and a specific student in which the adult provides support and life skills to help the student’s personal and academic development.
Tutoring is defined as one-on-one or small group, led by a certified teacher that provides content instruction or homework help. Tutoring does not include academic skill building activities.
Physical activity is defined as activities designed to provide students with supplemental non-UIL opportunities for individual or group exercise, or related knowledge and skills that encourage regular physical activity.
Academic support is defined as supplemental support related to student academic skill development and may include compensatory education, test-taking skills, and related academic skill-building. Tutoring and homework help are not considered academic support.
Educational enrichment includes activities that engage students in actively exploring academic content and activities introduced during the regular school day. It consists of activities that are intentionally designed to align with but not replicate the instruction in a core course to increase the academic success of students in any subject, including fine arts, civic engagement, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
ELO-DAYS-SCHEDULED-PER-YEAR (E1720) indicates the number of days the Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) activity is offered during the school year.
ELO-MINUTES-SCHEDULED-PER-DAY (E1621) indicates the number of minutes scheduled each day for a given ELO-TYPE and ELO-ACTIVITY-CODE.
The minimum amount of time a given ELO-TYPE can be provided under a given ELO-ACTIVITY-CODE must be 45 consecutive minutes.
If a school offers two instances of the same ELO program such as Tutoring (ELO-ACTIVITY-CODE ‘03'), for English and Math, under the same ELO-TYPE (Before School ‘03’), the minutes will need to be added together and reported as one total for both subjects since they are the same ELO Activity Code and are offered under the same ELO-TYPE.
Additionally, if a school offers the same ELO program throughout the year, but changes the length of minutes scheduled per day, the minutes will need to be averaged.
For example, a school offers Academic Support (ELO Activity Code ‘05’) for 60 minutes on Mondays and 90 minutes on Wednesdays, the minutes will need to be averaged to 75 minutes/day for reporting.
NUMBER-CHARTER-STUDENTS-ENROLLED (E1674) indicates the number of students enrolled at a charter school campus as of the last Friday in September.
This element is only to be reported by Charter schools for the Charter School Waitlist Collection.
CHARTER-EDUCATIONAL-ENROLLMENT-CAPACITY (E1675) indicates the number of students to which the charter school campus is able to provide instruction without exceeding staffing and facility limitations and the approved charter holder's maximum enrollment.
This element is only to be reported by Charter schools for the Charter School Waitlist Collection.
CHARTER-ADMISSION-WAITLIST-INDICATOR (E1676) indicates whether the charter school campus uses a waitlist for admission.
This element is only to be reported by Charter schools for the Charter School Waitlist Collection.
NUMBER-OF-BULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1727) indicates the number of reported incidents of bullying at each campus as defined in TEC §37.0832.
A reported incident of bullying must meet the definition of bullying as defined in TEC §37.0832.
Bullying is defined as a single significant act or a pattern of acts by one or more students directed at another student that exploits an imbalance of power and involves engaging in written or verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that interferes with a student’s educational opportunities or substantially disrupts the orderly operation of a classroom, school, or school-sponsored or school-related activity, and:
Bullying incidents include:
The NUMBER-OF-BULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1727) is inclusive of the NUMBER-OF-CYBERBULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1728).
A reported incident of bullying may or may not result in a reportable disciplinary action.
NUMBER-OF-CYBERBULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1728) indicates the number of reported incidents of cyberbullying at each campus.
Cyberbullying means bullying that is done through the use of any electronic communication device, including through the use of a cellular or other type of telephone, a computer, a camera, electronic mail, instant messaging, text messaging, a social media application, an Internet website, or any other Internet-based communication tool.
Cyberbullying incidents can occur
The NUMBER-OF-CYBERBULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1728) will be equal to or less than the NUMBER-OF-BULLYING-INCIDENTS (E1727).
