School and District History

Since 2019, AskTED has been compiling historical data for campuses and districts. Whenever an administrator makes a change to a campus or district record, that change is captured with a date and time stamp in the AskTED database. The change history can be viewed by clicking on the history links in the Details view of each campus and district record.

The History view shows the same data as the Details view in a series of chronological entries. Each entry has an Effective Date in the header indicating when the change entered the system. Each change from the previous record is highlighted in yellow.

From April 1 through July 31 each year, during the school year collection overlap period, the history record may show a future effective date. This indicates an administrator has made a change to take effect in the coming school year.

History records prior to 2019 are based on the limited historical data AskTED had been capturing and may be incomplete. The AskTED system first went online in the late 1990s; and consequently, the earliest history records date to that period. Limited information about campuses and districts before that time may be available in paper records at TEA. Please contact the TEA TED Administrator at AskTED@tea.texas.gov or (512) 463-9809.
